Baris Kaymak

Barış Kaymak is Associate Professor of Economics at Université de Montréal where he holds the JW McConnell Family Foundation Chair in American Studies. He is a Research Fellow at CIREQ (Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche en Économie Quantitative) and an Editorial Adviser for the Canadian Journal of Economics. He has previously taught at University of Rochester, where he received his PhD in 2008, and at Sabanci University. Kaymak’s research is focused on the causes and consequences of economic inequality, the interactions between inequality and tax policy, education and the labour market with emphasis on the macroeconomy.
