Benedikt Herz

Member of the Chief Economist's Team, European Commission Directorate-General for Internal Market and Industry at European Commission

Benedikt Herz is a member of the Chief Economist Team of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market and Industry. He holds a PhD in economics from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and received a Masters degree in economics from the University of Bonn. He is mainly interested in applied microeconometrics and policy evaluation. His research covers areas such as labor economics, public economics, as well as economics of innovation and intellectual property rights and he has published in various journals including Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association, and Research Policy.
