Bernd Schwaab is a Senior Economist in the Financial Research Division at the European Central Bank, where he conducts research in the areas of financial economics, monetary economics, and time series econometrics. His work has been published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Econometrics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute and VU University Amsterdam.
