Boon-Loong Ngiang is a Business Intelligence Analyst at Criteo, where he works with Big Data to optimize high frequency auction processes in Asia. Prior to joining Criteo, he worked as a Policy Researcher for several international organisations, including the Asian Development Bank Institute and the Asian Competitiveness Institute. He has advised a number of government and corporate clients on key economic and strategic issues. His works have also been published in several leading academic periodicals. Boon-Loong's research interests include machine learning, algorithmic trading, global value chains, free trade agreements, foreign direct investments, monetary policy and Asian economic development. He holds two Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy, and the National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. As an undergraduate, he achieved the award of Salutatorian for his graduating cohort at Singapore Management University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
