I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Williams College and an Affiliated Professor at Tilburg University. My research focus is at the intersection of macro, development, and finance, and it combines theoretical, empirical and experimental methods. For my research I have received grant support from Dutch Research Council (NWO), Department for International Development (DFID-UK), Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and European Union (Marie Curie Foundation). I am an Associate Editor at Journal of Macroeconomics and an Invited Researcher at J-PAL. At Williams I teach courses on macro, foundations of money & banking, and financial development. Details of my academic profile can be found in my CV and in other links on this webpage.
