Carlo Barone is full professor at the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement, Sciences Po (Paris). His research interests concern the relations between educational inequality and social mobility in contemporary societies. His publications consider the role of family background and gender for educational achievement and attainment, as well as the labor market returns to education in dynamic and comparative perspective. His methodological interests focus on the application of field experiments to social stratification research.
