Christian Daude

Senior Economist at the Economics Directorate at Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD)

Christian Daude is a Senior Economist at the OECD Economics Directorate. He is currently the Head of the Colombia Desk, leading the team in charge of Colombia’s economic survey, macroeconomic forecasts and structural surveillance. He has held several positions at the OECD Development Centre, including Head of the Macroeconomic Analysis unit and Head of the Americas Desk for three years. In this position he was responsible for producing the OECD’s flagship publication on Latin America, the Latin American Economic Outlook, as well as several country studies on development and fiscal issues. Previous to joining the OECD in 2008, he worked at the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Central Bank as a Research Economist on emerging market issues with a focus on Latin America. His research and policy papers have been published in numerous academic journals, books and conference volumes. Christian hold a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland at College Park.
