Claude Crampes received his Ph.D. degree from Toulouse University. He is currently professor emeritus at Toulouse School of Economics (TSE). He has been a member of the economic council of the French regulation body for energy and of the Comité National de la Recherche Scientifique. He currently acts as an advisor for EDF, the main electricity producer and supplier in France. His areas of research interest are the economics of networks, industrial organization and the economics of intellectual property.
