Daniel Hoewer is Researcher in the Department “Industrial Economics and International Management” at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), Mannheim, Germany. Before joining the ZEW in 2008 he studied Economics in Hamburg, Liverpool/UK and Essen. The main focus of his research is on the effect of bank portfolio characteristics, such as industry specialisation or loan default, on firms’ access to finance or firm closure.
