David Wheelock

David C. Wheelock is Group Vice President and Deputy Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He holds a Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Wheelock was on the faculty of the Department of Economics at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Wheelock has written numerous articles on banking and monetary policy topics for professional journals and Federal Reserve publications. He is the author of The Strategy and Consistency of Federal Reserve Monetary Policy, 1924-1933, published by Cambridge University Press in 1991.
