Elisabetta Aurino is a development economist working on food security and child and adolescent health, nutrition and education. ​She is passionate and committed to research that can contribute to positive societal change through better food security, health and education for all children. ​ She is an Assistant Professor of Development Economics at the University of Barcelona School of Economics. She is a Jacobs Foundation Fellow (2022-2024) and a European Research Council grantee (2021). Prior to her appointment at the University Of Barcelona, she worked at Imperial College, the University of Oxford (at the Young Lives study), and spent one year visiting the Econ dept. at the University Pompeu Fabra. She also provided research consultancies on issues related to child development globallyfor the University of Pennsylvania, UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, International Fund for Agriculture Development, World Food Program and the European Commission, among others.
