Emilia Garcia-Appendin holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from Pompeu Fabra University. She is currently a Senior Research Economist at Norges Bank and an Associate Professor of Banking and Financial Intermediation in the University of St Gallen. Previously, she has been Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Banking and Finance of the University of Zurich, and Assistant Professor of Finance in the universities of St Gallen and Bocconi. Her main areas of research are corporate finance, financial intermediation and sustainable finance. Her research has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Finance, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others.
