Eric Alexander Sugandi is a project consultant for the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) since February 2017.His research interests include monetary economics, banking, and international political economy. Prior to joining the ADBI, he was a senior economist at Standard Chartered Bank in Indonesia (2007 -2015). He started his career as a management associate at Citibank N.A., in Indonesia, and subsequently worked as a macroeconomic analyst for Bank Mandiri, an economic researcher at the University of Indonesia, a senior business analyst at Synovate Business Consulting, and a senior economist at Standard Chartered Bank. He has a BA in international political economy and an MA in economics, University of Indonesia; an MA in economics, University of Virginia; and a PhD, University of Indonesia. He is a PhD candidate in International Studies at the Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies, Waseda University.
