Ester Faia is Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt holding a Chair in Monetary and Fiscal Policy. She has been visiting professor at Harvard Economics in 2019-2020 and 2023-2024. She is Fellow of CEPR and is in the editorial board of the American Economic Journal: Macro. She earned bachelor and master from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. from New York University. She published extensively in top peer-journals in the fields of macro-labour, international and macro-finance. Her recent research focus on topics such wage inequality and firm rents, exploiting large micro data or experimental setting. She was awarded several national and European grants and research awards and she has been consulting for IMF, ECB and the European Commission.
