Fabrizio Marongiu Buonaiuti

Full Professor of International Law at University of Macerata

Fabrizio Marongiu Buonaiuti is Full Professor of International Law at the University of Macerata, Italy. He graduated in Law cum laude from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and obtained an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law, and a Ph.D. in International Law still from La Sapienza. A specialist of Private International Law, subject on which he authored two monographs, he concentrates his research on the process of Europeanization of this area of the law. Winner of the 2010 Prize of the “Association of Alumni and Friends of the Swiss Institute for Comparative Law”, he participated in a project, funded under the European Commission’s JUSTCIV programme, on the Europeanization of private international law of successions. He has also been lecturing European Union Law at the Murdoch Summer School, held by the Murdoch University, Perth (Australia).
