Fernando Borraz earned his PhD in economics from Georgetown University. His research is in applied microeconometrics. He is a Senior Researcher at the Banco Central del Uruguay and Universidad de la República del Uruguay. He received the first prize of the National Prize in Economics in 2004, granted by the Universidad de la República.
