Filippo Mezzanotti

Associate Professor of Finance, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University

Filippo Mezzanotti is an Associate Professor of Finance at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. His research interests are in empirical corporate finance, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on understanding the relationship between financial conditions and technology investments. Some of his recent research papers studied issues around technology adoption, intellectual property and the organization of innovation, R&D investments, and private equity. His research has been published in some of the leading journals in economics and finance. Filippo joined the Kellogg School of Management in 2016. Filippo grew up in Cesena, Italy, and he received a B.A. and a M.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University. After moving to the US, he obtained a MA and Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University.
