Frederic Opitz

Frederic Opitz is a statistical assistant at the European Commission in DG ECFIN. His research interests are focused on empirical macroeconomics, especially the effects of fiscal, macroprudential, and monetary policy. He holds a PhD in Economics from Ghent University, a master's degrees in Economics (MSc) from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BSc) from Mannheim University. During his PhD, Frederic was a PhD trainee at the European Central Bank.
