Gunes Gokmen is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Lund University. His research interests lie at the junction of political economy, development economics, and economic history, with a focus on culture, religion, and ethnoreligious minorities. His work ranges from the legacy of empires to the effect of cultural differences on trade, conflict, and development. He also studies the influence of ethnoreligious minorities on human capital spillovers and their legacy on development.
