Harald Tauchmann

Research Fellow, Areas of Competence "Labour Markets, Population, Health" and "Environment and Resources" at Leibniz Institute for Economic Research

Harald Tauchmann studied economics, political science and sociology at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Manchester (Diplom-Volkswirt, Heidelberg 1998). After graduating he worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Environmental Economics in Heidelberg. There, he joined the graduate program “Environmental and Resource Economics” and received his Ph.D. from the University of Heidelberg in 2003 with an empirical work on CO2 abatement and inter-fuel substitution. Since June 2003 he is employed as a Researcher in the areas of competence “Labour Markets, Population, Health” " and “Environment and Resources”. Since 2012 he is a team member of the health economic research center CINCH in Essen.
