Helmut Stix is Lead Economist at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank. His current research is focused on households’ financial behavior, cash demand and payment innovations as well as on inequality and trust. His work has been published in Journal of Money, Credit & Banking, American Journal of Political Science, Economic Policy, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, International Journal of Central Banking. He studied at the University of Vienna and at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Vienna.
