Jackline Wahba

Professor of Economics at University Of Southampton

Jackline Wahba is Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton (UK). She is a Research Fellow of CReAM, ERF and IZA, and a Research Affiliate of the ESRC Centre for Population Change where she leads the migration strand. Her main research interests are in labour and development economics. Her work has focused on international migration and labour markets in developing countries. Her work has been published in the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics among others. She has been a Consultant to various international organisations such as the World Bank, the OECD and the IOM. She obtained her PhD from the University of Southampton in 1994.
