Jean-Francois Jamet is Counsellor to the Executive Board of the European Central Bank (ECB) and a member of the French Productivity Council (Conseil national de la Productivité). Jean-Francois joined the ECB in 2013, where he led the teams responsible for Economic and Monetary Union governance, parliamentary relations, and Brexit before becoming a counsellor to the Executive Board. Previously, Jean-Francois worked at the World Bank and at the European Commission. He also taught European and international economic policy at Sciences Po. Jean-Francois has studied at Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris School of Economics, Sciences Po and Harvard University. He has authored books and papers published in international journals such as the International Journal of Central Banking, the European Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of European Public Policy, and the Journal of Common Market Studies.
