Joanna Piechucka is an economist at the Chief Economist Team of the European Commission. Previously, she was a research associate at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and fellow at the Berlin Center for Consumer Policies (BCCP). She also worked at a competition economics consulting company.
Joanna has experience in the context of merger and antitrust proceedings, as well as ex post evaluation of State aid rules. Her research focuses on competition policy and regulation. Joanna holds a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics.
