John Fitzgerald

John FitzGerald is an Adjunct Professor in the Economics Department in Trinity College Dublin, having previously been a Research Professor in the Economic and Social Research Institute in Dublin. He works on macro-economic policy and energy policy. He has published extensively on fiscal policy and the behaviour of the Irish economy and on energy and climate policy. He was a member of the Central Bank of Ireland Commission from 2010 to 2020 and he was Chairman of the Irish government’s Climate Change Advisory Council.
