Jonas Kasteng

Jonas Kasteng is a Senior Adviser at the National Board of Trade Sweden. His main areas of research are rules of origin and the utilization of tariff preferences in the EU’s free trade agreements. Recent publications in this field are: The Use of the EU’s Free Trade Agreements, Who Uses the EU’s Free Trade Agreements, How Companies Use Free Trade Agreements, A Post-Brexit Analysis and Learning by Using Free Trade Agreements. His background includes positions as Desk Officer Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Political Adviser the Swedish Parliament, Consultant at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), Trade Policy Analyst at the Swedish Board of Agriculture and Consultant at the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds a Master of Science Degree in International Business from Göteborg University, Sweden.
