Josep Mestres is Economist at CaixaBank Research Department. He holds a PhD in economics from University College London and a Masters from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Before joining CaixaBank he worked as an economist at the Employment and Social Policy Department (DELSA) in the OECD and at the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) in UCL. His areas of interest include labor economics, immigration economics and public policy. His work has been published, among others, in the Journal of Population Economics, the Journal of Development Economics and the Review of Public Economics.
