Ruben Durante is Full Professor and ICREA Researcher in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, affiliated faculty to the Barcelona School of Economics and the Institute for Political Economy and Governance, Research Advisor at Gallup, Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and Research Fellow at CESifo and IZA. His main area of research is political economy with a particular focus on the functioning and impact of traditional and new media in both mature and consolidating democracies. His work is regularly featured in the press, and has been published in leading journals in economics, political science, and management including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, Management Science, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics. His research has been funded, among others, by the European Research Council.
