Juan Jose Cortina is a Research Economist at the Macroeconomics and Growth Department of the World Bank. He has authored flagship reports, policy briefs, and academic research articles on international finance, financial development, and economic crises. Before joining the World Bank, he was a Research Analyst at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Juan holds a PhD in Economics from the UCM and a MSc in Specialized Economic Analysis from the Barcelona School of Economics.
