Justin Caron is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Economics at HEC Montréal. Before that, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Economics from ETH Zurich.
His main areas of research are environmental economics and international trade economics. Among other things, he studies the link between income and household consumption patterns, including its implications for trade patterns, labor markets, energy demand, and the distributional implications of climate policies.
