Karthik Sastry

Karthik Sastry is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University. His research centers on macroeconomics, with a focus on two main areas: understanding the role of bounded rationality and social dynamics in business-cycle fluctuations and modeling how societies adapt to climate change through policy shifts and technological innovation. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT and holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University. Before joining Princeton, he was a Prize Fellow in Economics, History, and Politics at Harvard University.
