Kei-Mu Yi is M.D. Anderson Professor of Economics at the University of Houston. He is also a Research Associate with the ITI and IFM groups at the NBER. His current research is primarily focused on global value chains, international trade, structural change and long run economic growth. He has published scholarly articles in the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, American Economic Journal - Macroeconomics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and other academic journals. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago in 1990.
