Kerry Anne McGeary is a senior program officer in the Research-Evaluation-Learning unit at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Prior to that role, she served as an active member of academia. An award-winning professor and researcher, she is a nationally-recognized economist whose extensive research has focused on economic policy, health economics, and health services. During her tenure in academia, she directed a state health and health policy research center, which was awarded both federally-funded and privately-funded grants and contracts. Her research has informed and fueled deliberations both in Congress and in state legislatures. In reflecting on her work, McGeary says that “we must create a seismic shift in how we approach health, how it impacts our lives, and how health should guide the decisions we make. As a country, we need to expand our focus to address ways that we can promote health over the course of our lifetimes and for generations to come.”
