Laura Pohlan is a senior researcher in the research department "Labour Market Processes and Institutions" at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. In July 2018, she completed her PhD with her thesis entitled "Essays on Unemployment, Job Search Behavior and Policy Interventions" at the University of Mannheim. Her research interests include the empirical analysis of search and hiring processes and the role of frictions in the labour market. A special focus lies on the labour market integration of the long-term unemployed.
