Leonardo Ridolfi is Associate Professor of Economic History at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Siena. He graduated in History at the University of Pisa and received a Master degree in Economics from the University of Pisa and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. I hold a PhD in Economics from IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. His research aims to explain changes in living standards across Europe in the very long run with a special focus on France and Italy. He is also interested in the causes and consequences of economic growth, human capital accumulation, and technological change.
