Marc Ivaldi is Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), and Research Fellow at CEPR and CESIfo. He has served as President of the International Transportation Economics Association. He is President of Association Française d'Economie des Transports and Conference Director of the World Conference on Transport Research Toulouse 2026.
He is specialised in applied industrial organisation, and he has mainly studied network and transport service industries (rail, air, energy, telecommunications, banking, information technologies). He is one of the European experts on empirical methods for competition and regulation policy. He has published many articles in prominent academic journals. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
