Marcel Peter is a Senior Economist at the International Research Unit of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). His research interests are in empirical international finance and monetary policy. He holds an undergraduate degree in international relations from the University of Geneva and a Ph.D. in international economics from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. Prior to joining the SNB, he worked as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund (2003-2005), was a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Lucerne and a Consultant at the OECD Development Centre in Paris (2002-2003), and a Country Risk Manager at Credit Suisse First Boston (1998-2001).
