Professor, Milan and former Commissioner of the Italian public authority responsible for regulating the Italian securities market (CONSOB) at Bocconi University

Marco Onado (Milan, 1941) is Senior Professor at the Department of Finance of the Bocconi University, having previously been Professor of Banking at the Universities of Modena and Bologna. He has been Commissioner of Consob (Italian Securities regulator) during 1993-1998. He is columnist of Il Sole 24 Ore. He is a Trustee of the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standard), London. His main fields of interest are financial systems, stability and regulation. He has written on this topics articles (including contributions to edited books) both in Italian and English.
