Marta Rodríguez

Marta Rodríguez (Madrid, 1973) is Senior Economist at the Fiscal Policies Division, European Central Bank (ECB). She joined the ECB in 2003 and has worked for the Directorate General Statistics and Directorate General Economics. Before joining the ECB she worked as Assistant, Associate and Visiting Professor (Universidad Jaume I and Universidad Carlos III in Spain, and Copenhagen Business School in Denmark) and also as Economist for the Spanish bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya group (1997-98). She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (2002). Her research interests are related to the field of public finances, and in particular to government debt analysis, fiscal variables in national accounts, and the relationship between fiscal policies and macroeconomics.
