Mårten Palme is professor of economics at the Department of Economics, Stockholm University. His research has been focused on income inequality, intergenerational mobility, effects of income security programs on economic behaviour, retirement choice and returns to education. His research has been published in American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of economics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Human Resources and Journal of Public Economics. He is a research fellow at CESifo, IFS and IZA.
