Neil G. Bennett is Professor, at the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, Baruch College, and the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research, with affiliated appointments in the Ph.D. Program in Sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center and in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy, all at the City University of New York. He received an Sc.B. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University in 1976, and a Ph.D. in Sociology (Demography) from Princeton University in 1981. His research has been in the fields of mathematical demography, with particular application to mortality estimation, and social demography.
