Peter Kugler

Peter Kugler is Professor of Economics at the University of Basel. He has published extensively in the areas of macroeconomics, monetary economics and economic history. He has been Professor of Statistics at the University of Basel, Professor of Econometrics at the University of Bern and Professor of Economics at the University of Vienna. He has been Managing Editor of the Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics, President of the Swiss Society of Economics and Statistics, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank and an External Adviser to the SNB Research department. He received his doctorate in Economics from the University of Basel in 1976 and his MA in Applied History from the University of Zürich in 2009.
