Piergiorgio Carapella is an economist at the Economic Research Department of Confindustria, the General Confederation of Italian Industry, where he works mostly on public finance and evaluation of public policies. Previously he worked as Senior Economist at the Research Center on Italian Public Finances and as a Research Fellow at the Dondena Centre for Social Dynamics and Public Policy at Bocconi University.
He holds a Ph.D in Public Economics from the Catholic University of Milan and his research interests are mainly public economics, political economy and public finance.
