Pierre-Olivier Weill is Associate Professor of Economics at UCLA, NBER Research Associate, and CEPR Research Affiliate. He received his undergraduate degree from École Polytechnique, and his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University in 2004. His research focuses on theoretical topics in macroeconomics and finance, in particular on the study of liquidity in financial markets and on monetary economics. The National Science Foundation and the Fondation Banque de France have funded his work. He has published his research in the American Economic Review, Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He has served on the Editorial Board of Econometrica, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Review of Economic Dynamics. He is currently co-Editor at Theoretical Economics.
