Pieter Woltjer is a Postdoc Researcher at Wageningen University (department of Rural and Environmental History) where he is currently working on the study of long-term African welfare development. He has a MSc in Economics and a PhD in Economics, Econometrics and Finance from the University of Groningen. His main research interest are: economic development, inequality, technology and innovations and international trade history.
