Pilar Poncela is Associate Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 2002. She received her degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Valladolid (Spain) and her PhD in Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain) in 1998. She was Visiting Scholar in the Graduate School of Business (GSB) at the University of Chicago in 1998. She was Invited Co-editor of the special issue of the International Journal of Forecasting "Introduction to nonlinearities, business cycles, and forecasting".
