Rahul Anand

Economist, Asia Pacific Department at International Monetary Fund

Rahul Anand is an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, working in the Asia Pacific Department. He works on Sri Lanka and India. Rahul has received his PhD from Cornell University and Masters from Harvard University. His current research includes studying the impact of structural transformation on growth, developing DSGE models with macro-financial linkages for the emerging markets; and determining the effectiveness of monetary transmission mechanism in India. Prior to joining the fund, Rahul was a member of Indian Administrative Service; working there for nine years, holding senior administrative positions, designing, implementing, and monitoring various developmental programs/schemes of the Government of India.
