Randolph Bruno

Randolph Luca Bruno is Associate Professor of Economics at University College London, School of Slavonic and East European Studies. He is also Research Fellow at IZA-Bonn and Senior Reserch Fellow at Fondazione Rodolfo DeBenedetti-Milan. His main research interests include labor economics, comparative economics and the role of institutions in economic development. Randolph Bruno got his Ph.D. in 'Economics & Management' in 2006 from L.E.M., Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa (Italy).  During his Ph.D. he has been visiting student at Berkeley (University of California), research assistant at the Centre for New and Emerging Markets (London Business School) and intern at the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (London). He worked as short term consultant for the World Bank. He also joined Fondazione Rodolfo DeBenedetti (Milan, Italy) as Affiliate in 2002. Between 2006 and 2009 he has been Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, Italy. He was Teaching Fellow at University College London, School of Slavonic and East European Studies between September 2009 and June 2010. He has been Lecturer in Business Economics at the University of Birmingham between July 2010 and August 2012. In 2012 he was appointed Lecturer in Economics at the University College London, School of Slavonic and East European Studies and he is now Senior Lecturer in Economics since October 2016. He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2007 and became a Research Fellow in April 2010. He is also Research Fellow of the Rodolfo DeBenedetti Foundation, whose purpose is to promote applied and policy oriented research on labor markets and welfare systems in Europe (http://www.frdb.org).
