Rolando Avendaño

Economist at Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD)

Rolando Avendano is an Economist at OECD Development Centre, currently working with the Americas Desk. His research focuses on areas of financial economics, with special interest in firms’ financial development, institutional investors and Asia’s impact on emerging economies. Pior to joining the Centre, he worked with the OECD Economics Department on macroeconomic policy in Latin America, the Institute of Latin American Studies (UCL) and the Faculty of Engineering, University of Los Andes. Rolando holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering at University of Los Andes, a B.A. in Anthropology jointly with University of London, a Master in Economic Policy Analysis from Paris School of Economics (PSE) and is finishing a PhD in Economics at PSE under the supervision of Professor Richard Portes.
