Ronald Mahieu

Ronald Mahieu is Professor of Finance and Innovation at Tilburg University, TiasNimbas Business School In addition he is part-time Professor in of Entrepreneurial Finance at Eindhoven University of Technology. Ronald obtained his PhD degree at Maastricht University with a study on international capital markets. Ronald’s research and teaching activities are focused on risk and return characteristics of financial assets, and the financing of (start-up) firms. Areas of expertise are valuation of new businesses and technologies, construction of investment strategies for institutional investors, and the modeling of financial asset returns. His work has been published in international journals like the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Econometric Reviews and Applied Financial Economics. In addition to his academic activities Ronald has worked as a Consultant/Teacher for companies like Abp, Shell Pensioenfonds, Hoogovens, Fortis, ABN Amro, Philips, Essent, Eneco, Nuon, and the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
